Chicago Midway concourse guide: A, B and C
Midway has one terminal complex with three connected concourses. The official full-airport PDF places the security checkpoint before a central post-security hub: Central Market sits between the routes toward Concourses A, B and C. That layout makes Midway simpler than a multi-terminal airport, but gates can still be a long walk from the curb or CTA station.
Concourse A: gates, Food Hall and family landmarks
The official map shows the Concourse A Food Hall on the route toward the A gates. High-value landmarks include the Kids Play Area and lactation pod near A5, Gameway in the A5 area, pet-relief facilities, ATMs and the Battle of Midway exhibit zone.
Concourse B: Central Market and The Club MDW
Central Market is the main post-security orientation point. The Club MDW is near Gate B1 across from the Central Market dining area. The B corridor continues past numerous gates, so confirm the gate before spending a long layover in the central market.
Concourse C: quiet and care facilities
The official map places the Yoga Room, Chapel/quiet-use facilities and Mother’s Room around the Concourse C side of the post-security terminal. This can be useful during a long wait, but leave time to walk back to an A or B gate.

Connecting at MDW: what changes for domestic and international passengers?
Domestic connection
All three concourses are connected. A passenger arriving on a domestic flight can generally follow signs to the onward gate without leaving the secure side. Still check the gate immediately after landing.
Separate tickets or two airlines
Ask both airlines whether baggage transfers automatically. A separate ticket can require baggage collection, a new check-in and another security screening, and the onward carrier may not protect a missed flight.
International arrival

CTA Orange Line
The Orange Line is the main rail link between Midway and downtown. The airport describes normal train time at about 20–25 minutes; add the enclosed-walkway trip between the terminal and Midway Transportation Center plus platform waiting.
Current CDA guidance lists service starting around 3:30 a.m. weekdays, 4:00 a.m. Saturdays and 4:30 a.m. Sundays/holidays, with service ending around 1:05 a.m.. Overnight, use the N62 Archer bus or another ground option after checking CTA alerts.
Licensed taxi
City taxis use the Lower Level inner lane at Door 2. The airport lists a typical Midway-to-downtown fare of about $35–$40, depending on traffic and meter charges. Use the official taxi stand and do not accept an unsolicited ride.
Uber, Lyft and other rideshare
Standard app pickup is on the Lower Level center lane. Blue A/B zones use Doors 2–3, Orange C/D use Doors 3–4 and Green E/F use Door 4. The app’s assigned color/zone should override a screenshot or old article.

90-space Cell Phone Lot
The free lot is at 61st Street and Cicero Avenue, just south of the main airport entrance. The official airport says it is approximately four minutes or less from the terminal. The vehicle must stay attended.
CTA Orange Line Kiss & Ride
Located at 59th and Kilpatrick Avenue, one block east of Cicero. From baggage claim, use Door 6, go to the blue elevator center, take it to Level 3 and follow CTA/“Trains to City” signs.
