Haneda Terminal 1, 2 and 3: T2 also has international flights
Terminal 1 — JAL-side domestic terminal
Generally serves Japan Airlines, Skymark, StarFlyer and Japan Transocean Air domestic flights.
Terminal 2 — ANA domestic and ANA international
Domestic: ANA, AIRDO and Solaseed Air. International: ANA. This is the high-value exception that prevents the common mistake “all international flights = T3.”

Eligible transfer passengers can get a free rail/monorail ticket
Domestic↔international and international↔international connecting passengers can receive a transfer boarding ticket after passport/boarding-pass verification.

T1 B1F · T2 B1F · T3 2F. The ticket is for eligible terminal transfer using Keikyu Line or Tokyo Monorail.
T1–T2 underground passage
The connection is about 400 m. Its moving walkway is currently out of service for construction, but the passage remains walkable.
Domestic, international and separate-ticket connections at HND
Confirm whether the international flight leaves T2 or T3. If international check-in and baggage were completed at origin, you may not need to collect the bag; the airline decides.
Complete Japan arrival procedures, then follow the airline’s recheck/transfer process. T3 domestic-transfer counters/security have limited hours.
Some passengers can follow “International Transit” signs; others who enter Japan move from arrivals to the international departure floor and repeat departure procedures. Airline/immigration eligibility controls the route.

Arriving internationally at Haneda: the six-step process
International arrivals use T2 or T3 depending on the operating flight. The official flow matters most for first-time Japan visitors and anyone making a domestic connection.
International departure at HND: check-in to boarding, step by step
International departures from both T2 and T3 use the 3F departure floor. Check the live flight because counters can change on the day.
Face Express: useful, but not universal
For select airlines/flights, Face Express can link facial recognition to parts of check-in, baggage drop, security and boarding. Do not plan around it unless your airline/flight is eligible.

Where are the train gates?
- T1/T2: Keikyu / monorail access is on basement levels; follow the specific operator signs.
- T3 Keikyu toward central Tokyo/Yokohama: ticket gates are accessible from the 2F Arrival Lobby.
- T3 Tokyo Monorail: gates are available from the 2F Arrival Lobby and 3F Departure Lobby.
- T3 terminal-transfer direction: follow the separate airport-terminal / transfer signage rather than blindly following “Tokyo.”
After the last useful train: check late-night access buses
Haneda also publishes late-night/early-morning access-bus services, including selected T3 services toward Shinjuku/Ikebukuro and Yokohama. These can change with flight schedules, so use the bus operator page for the exact night rather than relying on a static timetable here.

Picking someone up in a private car
Roadside parking/stopping around the passenger terminals is prohibited. Haneda recommends using P1–P5; parking entry is free for up to 30 minutes after entry for short pickup use.

Haneda’s official 2026 mobility-facilitation plan for Terminals 1 and 2 was submitted June 12, 2026. It says the terminals already meet required standards but are targeting a higher level of barrier-free service.

Staffed storage
Eligible baggage can be stored up to two weeks. General limits include combined dimensions up to 300 cm and weight up to 30 kg, subject to counter/item rules.

Official lockers are outside the gate and are generally usable for up to seven days. After the allowed period, items may be moved to designated storage.

Can you stay overnight at Haneda? Terminal 3 has an eligibility rule
T1/T2 domestic public areas close around midnight after the final applicable flights, so you generally cannot treat those lobbies as overnight waiting rooms. Terminal 3 is open 24 hours, but Haneda’s usage FAQ states that overnight presence is for people who have used or are planning to use international flights.
