Silver Line to South Station
Massport lists Silver Line service from Boston Logan to South Station in downtown Boston as free from the airport. This is especially useful for South Station, the Red Line, Amtrak and commuter-rail connections. Check current MBTA alerts before relying on a tight rail connection.
Blue Line via Airport Station
The Blue Line does not stop inside Terminals A, B, C or E. Take a free Massport shuttle to Airport Station, then use the Blue Line toward downtown/Bowdoin. Route 22 serves A/B, Route 33 serves C/E, and Route 55 or 66 can also serve all terminals depending on time.
Water ferry and water taxi
Use free Massport Route 66 to reach the Water Transportation Dock. Confirm the boat operator, destination and schedule before leaving the terminal; water service is not a substitute for every downtown transit trip.

Ride-app drop-off rules vary by provider and time
For Terminals A/C/E, most drop-offs use Central Parking; Uber says Massport permits Arrivals-curb drop-off from 4:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Terminal B uses its Ride App area on the Departures level. Accessibility accommodations can use approved curbside locations.
Lyft publishes a different time window and terminal detail for some drop-offs, including morning curb operation. Because provider instructions differ and may change, the rider should follow the live app rather than memorizing one universal drop-off rule.
