Departure-day preparation

How early should you arrive at Fresno airport?

Fresno Yosemite International recommends arriving 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 hours before an international departure. Before leaving home, check the operating airline’s flight status and its current baggage and check-in rules.

Confirm FAT and the flight status. Check the final itinerary, operating airline and departure status before driving to the airport.
Bring an acceptable ID. For travelers age 18 and older, TSA requires acceptable identification. Since May 7, 2025, a standard state ID that is not REAL ID compliant is not accepted as a normal checkpoint credential; use a REAL ID-compliant credential or another TSA-accepted document such as a passport.
Check carry-on restrictions. TSA’s 3-1-1 rule generally limits carry-on liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes to containers of 3.4 oz (100 ml) or less in one quart-size bag, with medical and other exceptions.
Allow extra time when your trip is complex. International check-in, checked bags, special assistance, children, pets or peak holiday travel can add steps before security.
