Denver International has one main passenger terminal, Jeppesen Terminal, and three post-security gate concourses: A, B and C. The East/West wording usually refers to sides of Jeppesen Terminal—not separate passenger terminals.

How long from DEN security to your gate?

REAL ID and TSA ConfirmID
Bring a REAL ID, passport or another TSA-accepted form of identification. DEN’s summer 2026 guidance says travelers without an acceptable ID may use TSA ConfirmID and pay the currently published $45 identity-verification fee.
DEN Reserve
DEN Reserve is a free scheduled-entry option at West Security 2 near Door 606. Current published reservation hours are 5 a.m.–5 p.m. daily. It does not override airline check-in or bag-drop deadlines.

How connections work at DEN
Domestic or precleared connection
If you arrive within the secure area and your baggage is checked through, follow the next gate. A Gates can connect by A-Bridge/train; B and C use the train. Recheck the operating airline’s gate before leaving the concourse.
Train to the Gates
The automated train connects Jeppesen Terminal with A, B and C. DEN says Terminal-to-C is under ten minutes by train. Add platform waiting, escalator/elevator time and the walk to the exact gate.
Separate tickets
If two flights are on separate tickets, do not assume baggage transfer or missed-connection protection. Confirm whether you must collect bags, return to Jeppesen Terminal and meet a new airline’s check-in cutoff.
International arrivals, customs and connections at DEN
DEN has no separate international passenger terminal. International arrivals that have not completed U.S. preclearance arrive at A Gates and are routed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection processing.
Follow signs to CBP
Keep your passport and required entry documents accessible. Language/interpreter help is available through airport customer service and international-arrivals facilities.
Complete immigration and collect checked baggage

Connecting? Recheck baggage

RTD A Line: Train to the Plane
The 23-mile A Line links Denver Union Station and DEN in approximately 37 minutes. RTD says trains generally run every 15 minutes from 6 a.m.–8 p.m. and every 30 minutes in later evening/early-morning periods. The current standard Airport Day Pass is $10 and covers a full service day across the system, including the airport.
RTD now supports Tap-n-Ride with eligible contactless Visa/Mastercard or mobile wallets, in addition to MyRide and ticket-vending options. Use the same payment method consistently for fare capping.

DEN’s current pressure-washing program runs through September 2. On August 10, 2026, East Garage rows N–Q are in the scheduled closure period. Other garage areas remain open, but capacity and the easiest walking route can change.

Final Approach cell phone waiting lot
Final Approach is the free waiting lot roughly three miles from Jeppesen Terminal. Wait there until the arriving traveler has collected baggage and sends the exact side/door. That avoids circling and curbside waiting.

Wheelchair requests
DEN says all wheelchair service is arranged by the airline and recommends requesting it at least 48 hours before departure. State whether you need curb-to-counter, gate, aircraft-seat, connection or baggage-claim assistance.
Train-to-Gates wheelchair tip

Why KDEN’s elevation and runway length matter
FAA data places DEN at an airport elevation of about 5,433.8 feet. DEN operates six non-intersecting runways: five are approximately 12,000 feet long and runway 16R/34L is approximately 16,000 feet, which DEN describes as the longest commercial runway in North America.
